Mr Olusegun Aganga – Fmr. Honourable Minister of Industry, Trade and Investments – Chairman NCCN Board
Dr. Aganga served as Minister of Finance and then Minister of Industry, Trade and Investments in Nigeria. A qualified Chartered Accountant, he holds degrees from Oxford University and the University of Ibadan in Nigeria. Dr. Aganga is the former head of consulting services for Goldman Sachs in London, Board Member of the Nigerian Security and Exchange Commission, Technical Committee on Nigerian Capital Market Structure.
Tony O. Elumelu CON – Chairman United Bank for Africa – Vice Chairman NCCN
Mr. Elumelu is the founder and Chairman of the of Heirs Holdings and the Tony Elumelu Foundation. He sits on numerous public and social sector boards, including the global advisory board of the United Nations Sustainable Energy for All Initiative (SE4ALL), USAID’s Private Capital Group Partners Forum (PCG), and is Co-Chair of the Aspen Institute’s Global Food Security Working Group. Mr. Elumelu serves on the international advisory board of the Washington DC based think tank the Wilson Center and is a member of the Global Advisory Council of the Harvard Kennedy School’s Centre for Public Leadership. He is also a member of the World Economic Forum Community of Chairmen.
Chika Mordi – Chairman United Capital – CEO NCCN
Appointed in 2013 as the inaugural Chief Executive Officer of the National Competitiveness Council of Nigeria (NCCN). Chika Mordi is an Economist educated at the University of Ilorin. He also has an MBA and four Master’s degrees in public sector leadership and policy from IESE Business School, Harvard Business School, Harvard University Kennedy School of Government, Johns Hopkins’ SAIS, and the American University.
An accomplished banker with over twenty years in the industry, leading or co-leading successful turnarounds of three failing banks. His is best known for co-leading the team that built UBA Plc from a small, troubled Nigerian bank into one of Sub-Saharan Africa’s largest financial groups with over 20,000 employees in twenty two countries. Chika served on the board of over thirty financial institutions across Africa and the United Kingdom. In addition, he served as the alternate president of the West African Bankers’ Association, Chairman of the Board of West Africa’s first Credit Bureau.

Baroness Lynda Chalker – Chairman Africa Matters Limited
Barrones Chalker is a British Conservative politician who was a Member of Parliament for Wallasey from 1974 to 1992. She served as Minister of State for Overseas development and Africa at the Foreign Office, in the Conservative government from 1989 to 1997.

Juan E. Pardinas is director of the Mexican Institute for Competitiveness. Alhaji Dangote is a graduate of Business Studies from the Al-Azahar University, Cairo, Egypt. Alhaji Dangote is highly respected philanthropist. He serves as the President of the Nigerian Stock Exchange, a Director of Jaiz Bank PLC, Transcorp Hilton Hotel and Dangote Sugar Refinery Plc.
Bola Adesola, CEO Standard Chartered Bank Nigeria
Mrs. Adesola is the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Standard Chartered Bank Nigeria. Prior to this, she was an Executive Director at First Bank of Nigeria PLC, MD/CEO of Kakawa Discount House Limited, and former Treasurer of Citibank Tanzania. Bola Adesola was called to the Nigerian Bar in 1985. She is alumnus of Harvard Business School and Lagos Business School, and holds a Law degree from the University of Buckingham, UK.
